Insurance

The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. However, you may have an insurance plan that covers all or part of these expenses.

Please know and understand your insurance coverage before coming in for your appointment. Unfortunately our office is unable to verify your insurance coverage for your eye exam, glasses and/or contact lenses. You can obtain this information by calling your insurance provider or by going online to your insurance provider’s website.

Alberta Health Services will cover the examination cost for children 18 and under as well as seniors 65 and over…every year!

Here are some of the plans that we can bill directly:

  • Alberta School Employee Benefits Program (ASEBP)
  • Alberta Blue Cross
  • Green Shield
  • Canada Life
  • Quik Card
  • Sunlife
  • Manulife
  • Standard Life
  • Chamber of Commerce
  • Alberta Works
  • NIHB
  • other Government-funded programs

If you have vision coverage through a plan not listed, you will be responsible for the exam fee on the day of your visit, but we will provide you with an insurance receipt that you can submit for reimbursement. Our office will be happy to complete any necessary paperwork.
